ARKITEKTSTUDIO LUISVICENTE_FLORES releases a recently awarded project submitted to "MINE THE GAP",  a single stage design ideas international competition dedicated to examining one of the most visible scars left after the collapse of the real estate market in Chicago.

THE METEORITE is an artainmet center for Chicago that landmarks and re-uses the gap left by a financially unsuccessful project for a condominium tower.
THE METEORITE is a sustainable building that produces energy through wind turbines (by Philippe Starck) and extensive solar panels. Indoor area is approximately 288 thousand Sq.Ft. plus a 120 thousand Sq.Ft. covered plaza.

EL METEORITO es un centro para las artes no convencionales que reutiliza el hueco urbano que deja el proyecto de una torre residencial cancelado por inviabilidad financiera.

TUBULAR UNITS are narrow deep apartments. These double height units have two openings. The front, facing south-east, and the back. The front space is a LOGGIA that functions as a climatic passive equalizer.
